So, here’s the deal: this show is TV at its finest. It’s not often that you come across something so effortlessly perfect. Forget about waiting for those US remakes, treat yourself to the original! Usually, you find some well-played lead characters with a few mediocre performances in the background. But with Arvingerne, it’s a whole different story. I can’t recall a single moment of glitch or less convincing acting. It’s truly miraculous! How do those children even learn to act like that? It’s mind-blowing!
The plot is a real challenge for the actors. You see normal people turning into devils when a huge inheritance is on the line, and then back to loving, good people when things calm down. And let me tell you, filming parties with loud music and dancing can be tough. But the Arvingerne crew nails it every time! They make it look like everyone is genuinely having a blast.
I have to give a special shoutout to Carsten Bjørnlund, who plays the complex character of Frederik Grønnegaard. His performance is truly impressive. There was this one love scene where the awkwardness was the whole point. I have no idea how an actor is supposed to convey that, but he did it so beautifully. It was really moving!
This series is a love-it-or-hate-it kind of show. It’s all about family drama, failing relationships, and psychological issues. While it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, the setting, curiosity, and amazing acting kept me hooked. It’s like watching a documentary! Just give it a try and see if it’s your thing.
